About Us

Boyd Turner grew up in the Painting industry of California. Boyd's grandfather was one of the first members of the San Francisco Painters and Decorators Union in the early 1900's, Boyd's father was the Union Steward for the San Jose Chapter of Painters and Decorators, and Boyd's mother was a member of American Society of Interior Decorators. Boyd grew up napping on drop clothes and working every summer at his parent's Painting business learning the trade.

After a stint in the California Conservation Corps, Boyd decided to go out on his own and made his way down to San Diego where he settled in Ocean Beach. Boyd went to work for several successful San Diego Painting Companies. After seeing a real need for personal and customized painting in the San Diego Beach communities, Boyd took the California State Licensing exam and started his own company, Boyd Turner Custom Painting, in 1996.

Boyd's goal has always been to establish long lasting relationships with his customers. He takes great pride in the quality of workmanship and customer satisfaction he provides. He personally works and oversees every job he takes on. He realizes every client is unique and strives to provide individual attention appropriate to each job.
